About Me
Biography
Kyle Parrott is a Toronto-based digital animator & illustrator from Labrador City, Newfoundland & Labrador. Being from a very small & isolated mining town, Kyle was mostly self-taught studying the cartoons & graphic novels he grew up with.
Kyle studied animation at OCAD University, majoring in Drawing & Painting with a specialization in Digital Painting & Expanded Animation. He has graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine arts as of 2021 and has perused his career through freelance work.
My work
My art is exclusively done digitally, using programs such as PaintTool SAI, Illustrator, Animate, Premiere, and After Effects.
When coming up with ideas, I consider the process and the end result. "Would it be just as enjoyable to make as it would be to watch?" That is the question I ask myself when planning something like a cartoon.

Creating digital content specific to client’s needs. Work is done remotely & requires frequent communication with the client. Specific tasks included:

YDS Placement | Animator | January 2021 – March 2021
Tasked with producing multiple professional-quality 15 second animation under a strict deadline. Work was entirely remote & self-directed. Animations on display in the Young-Dundas Square as part of the summer exhibition of ArtworxTO 2021.
Daniloulou | Character Illustrator | September 2021 – January 2022
Worked closely with the director and art team to design and develop multiple characters for an Online children's show.
Ken Wilson Studios | Character Artist/Animator | September 2021 - November 2021
Internship working remotely with a team of artists & animators all over Canada. Tasks required copying coworker's styles to complete character art & create seamless transitions within animation.
